Stefanie's Story

Stefanieā€™s legal career began while still in law school at Gonzaga University. She started by volunteering as a public defender to gain an introduction into the legal system. Prior to graduating from law school in 1993 Stefanie attended the University of Washington earning a double major in German literature and English literature. She put herself through school while playing bassoon for the university symphony and practicing piano. Before starting college Stefanie spent a year in Berlin, Germany. While overseas, Stefanie immersed herself in European culture and tradition and travelled extensively.

Music is still a big part of Stefanieā€™s life. She enjoys attending the Spokane Symphony performances and listening to local performers. In addition to music, Stefanieā€™s interests include skiing the local resorts, running the local trails, playing tennis, and working on her mental and physical fitness in local hot yoga studios. You may even find Stefanie competing in local sporting events.

When not in a courtroom or preparing for trial, Stefanie continues to hone her legal skills by studying techniques of others. She in turn mentors less experienced attorneys. Stefanie loves putting together a winning case whether she sits as first chair litigator or acts in a supporting role.

Stefanie is a mother of two children and one dog. Her daughter is currently attending the University of Washington and her son is a recent UW graduate currently working as an EMT pending graduate school. Her dog, Fuji, is a shiba inu that is not enrolled in any higher education programs at this time.
