Tom McPherson is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law. He began his legal career at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted criminal trials as an Assistant District Attorney in the Major Crimes Unit. Over the course of eight years, Tom tried over 40 felony cases to verdict before a jury.

Tom has also tried over 50 civil jury trials while working as in-house counsel for Allstate (Philadelphia) and State Farm (Seattle). With over sixteen years’ combined experience working as defense counsel, Tom has gained valuable insight into the evaluation process and litigation approach that insurance companies employ and is able draw upon that knowledge to take maximum advantage when preparing and litigating his cases for trial.

Tom was recently admitted as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, which is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges equally balanced between plaintiff and defense.

Outside of the office, Tom enjoys woodworking, hiking, and camping, and travelling with his wife and teenage son back to the East Coast for family reunions.
