Steven Linton has been with The Advocates Law Firm for nearly twenty years. In that time, Steve has assisted thousands of people who were injured in accidents throughout Utah and in other states. Steve's Story
Before joining The Advocates, Steve began his career working for a well-respected insurance defense firm here in Salt Lake City where he advised and assisted insurance companies and their clients in auto accidents, slip-and-falls, construction defect litigation, and mass tort defense. While employed there, Steve had a varied practice and did work that included coverage analysis, discovery, motion practice, expert consultation, trial, and appeals. Steve joined the Advocates with the intent of expanding his practice and allowing him to help individuals instead of companies. Having worked on both sides of the aisle, Steve has a unique understanding of personal injury cases and how cases are handled from the claims stage all the way through trial and appeal. This allows him to deal with insurance companies in their language while being a true Advocate for the people he represents.
For his efforts as a personal injury attorney, Steve has been recognized by his peers on multiple occasions as one of the legal elites in Utah Business Magazine and as a Rising Star by the Mountain States Super Lawyers.
When not at work, Steve loves spending time with his wife and two children. Steve enjoys the outdoors, open-water swimming, golfing, traveling, cooking, and finding new restaurants.
