We have recovered more than $500 million for our clients.
Check out some of our landmark cases below.
In 2018, our client worked for a trucking company hired to haul oil. A hatch on an oil tank malfunctioned due to improper maintenance, allowing dangerous pressure to build in the tank. Due to the malfunction, our client was sprayed in the face with hydrocarbon condensates, causing loss of consciousness and a brain injury. Because of this injury, he is no longer able to work as a trucker. The Advocates took the case to trial and successfully argued on our client’s behalf. The jury returned a verdict of $4,500,000.
Our client was rear-ended by a driver who didn't notice traffic had come to a complete stop. Advocate attorney Brian Bankhead insisted that the at-fault party's insurance company tender its policy limits before trial, but they only offered $70,000. They claimed the accident did not cause our client's injuries. Advocate litigator Alan Tucker took the case to court and argued in front of a jury. The jury ultimately awarded our client $195,000—nearly triple the insurance company's initial offer.
