Caran Smith

Caran originally started her legal career helping disabled individuals through the disability process in obtaining Social Security Disability benefits by representing clients in disability hearings across the United States enhancing her ability to understand each client’s unique medical and personal situation. She later transitioned into complex litigation for a well-known plaintiff’s law firm researching and developing personal injury cases for jury trials giving her a deep understanding of the litigation process to assist her in assertively and effectively advocating for each client’s individual needs.

Caran earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay graduating Magma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and moved on to graduate from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2016. Upon graduating from law school, Caran continued her career as an HR Professional within a Fortune 500 company, where she gained a wealth of knowledge in employment law and workers compensation she can draw upon when assisting clients in navigating the hurdles put in place by insurance companies and the medical system.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Caran always planned to move to the Pacific NorthWest after completing her education to begin her legal career. In her spare time Caran is an avid hiker, biker, and yoga enthusiast combining these passions with her passion for community by volunteering with local and non-profit organizations, attending and participating in awareness and fund-raising events utilizing these platforms to meet the needs of underserved communities in her area.
