Mandy Gruhlkey began her legal career in Omaha after earning her bachelor’s degree in secondary education, bringing a strong foundation in communication, critical thinking, and teaching to her approach in law. She went on to attend Creighton Law School, where she distinguished herself as a committed and engaged student. While at Creighton, Mandy was an active member of the Advanced Trial Team, gaining hands-on experience in trial advocacy and courtroom procedures. She also participated in the Women’s Law Society, the Inns of Court, and the Public Interest Law Forum, demonstrating her commitment to professional development, mentorship, and serving the community. Mandy is currently admitted to practice law in both Nebraska and Iowa.
Throughout her legal career, Mandy has built a reputation for dedication, skill, and versatility. She has worked on both civil and criminal matters, providing her with a unique perspective that allows her to evaluate cases with depth and precision. Her experience spans trial preparation, negotiation, and appellate work, including briefing and arguing cases twice before the Nebraska Supreme Court, securing victories in both instances. In addition to her legal practice, Mandy is passionate about education and currently teaches legal studies and criminal justice at Bellevue University, as well as a paralegal program at Iowa Western Community College, mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
Outside of her professional work, Mandy maintains a rich and active personal life. She enjoys reading, exploring new cuisines through cooking, practicing archery, and maintaining her fitness.
