A woman was seriously injured in a car accident near Idaho State University early Thursday morning. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. after a woman’s white Ford Focus overturned off of East Benton Street in Pocatello, Idaho.
It was stated that the woman was driving towards a dead-end before suddenly veering off the side of a steep hill adjacent to the street. Her car was found in the backyard of a local home on the 1300 block of East Bonneville Street.
Officials have yet to release the woman’s name and current condition, but it was noted that her injuries were very serious.
The woman was found unconscious when the police and the Pocatello Fire Department reported to the scene of the accident. Her condition was in such a critical state that firefighters had to carefully remove her from the Ford Focus. Her head was apparently pinned inside the vehicle and her breathing was barely audible.
Even accident reconstruction specialists were called in to provide additional information regarding the investigation.
At this time, it was reported that there were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
